Stichting Depolarisatie

About the foundation

Stichting Depolarisatie

The foundation was established on 15 July 2026 and operates on a not-for-profit basis. It raises funds and supports journalistic, academic, educational and cultural projects by initiators that contribute to public dialogue, mutual understanding, connection and reconciliation.

Mission

We raise funds and support projects by other initiators that bring people together across divides. The foundation does not itself create or organise those projects.

Independence

We do not take a party-political position. The foundation is not tied to any single author, book or project. We assess initiatives on their alignment with our mission.

Organisation

The foundation has an unpaid board. Since 15 July 2026, Stichting Depolarisatie has been recognised by the Dutch Tax and Customs Administration as an ANBI (Dutch Public Benefit Organisation). More information is available on the ANBI status and transparency.

How do we select projects?

Initiators can submit a project plan; the foundation does not carry out projects itself. We assess plans on their public value, reach, quality of content and feasibility. A well-founded project plan and budget form the basis. We also look at evaluation, reporting and the prevention of conflicts of interest. The board adopted this framework on 31 August 2026. We take no party-political position in our selection.
